(Frequently Asked Questions)
How Does Screen Printing Work?
Screen Printing is the art of taking designs from the computer, making a stencil based on that exact design, stencils are exposed on a silk screen using some type of photo sensitive emulsion (burned onto the screen with a bright light source), using the colored inks based on the design and pulling the inks through the silk screen, onto the fabric or other item. The ink makes a perfect image onto the item and we use strong heaters (dryers) to cure the ink onto the item for a long lasting image on whatever item you choose!

SET UP CHARGES
We, as well as EVERY SCREEN PRINTER that you will encounter will charge you a set up fee.
Some printers roll it into the per-item cost, some factor it into the shipping, and others do it in different ways. We choose to be transparent, so you know what you are getting from start to finish.
Set up charges cover screens, chemicals used to clean screens, emulsions (stencils), and other pre-press processes including ink mixing and set up.
We charge $25 for each individual screen being set up. (i.e. a 3 color print will be on 3 screens, so you will encounter 3 set ups, basically our set up cost multiplied by 3)
We hope by being transparent, you choose us as your designated printers.
There are no hidden costs, no hidden fees, everything will be itemized on your invoice(s).
